The event was founded in 2009, 15 years ago. The tournament is based at the prestigious Devonshire Park and boasts a fantastic line-up of world-class tennis as a combined men's and women's event. It is generally considered a "warm-up" for the Wimbledon Grand Slam event, which begins the following week. In 2020, the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
